Mott clinches spot in in NJCAA Great Lakes East Championship with 32 point win
The Mott Community College women's basketball team is just one win away from the NJCAA Division II National Tournament after an 83-51 victory over Wayne County CCD on Thursday night. The Bears used a strong second half to pull away from the Wildcats.

The Bears were led by Sasha Penn with 20 points and six assists. Chi'Anne Gloster had 14 points and nine rebounds, while Serena Rice add 13 points, Zaria Mitchner chipped in nine points and five assists.
Wayne County was paced by Sammiyah Hoskins with 18 points, 16 rebounds and five steals. while Vantane Garrett had 13 points. Jada Parker tossed in 12 points and nine rebounds. The Wildcats season comes to an end with a 15-14 record.
Mott CC will advance to Saturday's NJCAA Great Lakes East District Championship game against either number three Macomb CC or Delta College. The Bears are now 26-4 for the season.
