Lake Michigan's Olivia Ippel is the MCCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Lake Michigan College's Olivia Ippel is the MCCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week#3 for the period ending Sept. 17.

The Saint Joseph (Mich.) High School graduate captured her second meet of 2023 at the Grand Rapids Community College Raiders Invitational, navigating the 5-kilometer Douglas Walker Park course in 18 minutes and 41.7 seconds. That time set a career personal record as well as a course record.

The field included 111 competitors from NCAA Division II Northwood University, NAIA power Aquinas College and mostly MCCAA programs.
