Macomb's Ava LaMilza is the MCCAA Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

Macomb Community College freshman Ava LaMilza (Macomb, Mich./Dakota High School) is the MCCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week#6.

LaMilza had her most impressive outing in 2023 with a 6-kilometer time of 23 minutes and 14 seconds to finish in 11th place overall at the NCAA Division II-dominated Slippery Rock Bill Lennox Invitational. Additionally, she beat all runners affiliated with Division I programs.
