Mid Michigan women's basketball team enters the top 20 at number 16 in this week's poll

The Mid Michigan College women's basketball team breaks into the top 20 in the NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll. The Lakers are 5-0 on the season after beating Wayne County Community College District and Mott Community College last weekend. They will return to action tonight when they host Alma College JV. 

Macomb Community College also enters the top 20 at a tie for number 19 this week. The Monarchs are 9-0 after defeating Washtenaw Community College last night. They went 3-0 last week, defeating Cornerstone University JV, Alma College JV and Siena Heights University JV. Their next game is Friday, December 6 when they travel to face Aquinas College JV. 

Mott Community College remains in the other schools receiving votes for the third straight week. The Bears are 6-1 overall after going 2-1 last week. They defeated then number 11 Edison State Community College and Grand Rapids Community College before falling to Mid Michigan College. They will return to the hardwood on Wednesday, December 4 when they travel to face Kellogg Community College.
