Grand Rapids men's cross country places fourth at Jayhawk Invitational
The Grand Rapids Community College men's cross country team finish fourth at the Jayhawk Invitational this afternoon. Calvin College won the meet, with Siena Heights University second and Adrian College third.
The Grand Rapids Community College men's cross country team finish fourth at the Jayhawk Invitational this afternoon. Calvin College won the meet, with Siena Heights University second and Adrian College third. Jackson College finished sixth, Oakland Community College finished seventh and St. Clair County Community College eighth. Muskegon Community College finished ninth, with Alpena Community College finished tenth.
The individual race was won by Baldvin Magnusson in a time of 24:14.87. Joshua Kipkoech of Grand Rapids was the top MCCAA finisher, placing ninth in 25:22.04. Drew Mayes of St. Clair County Community College placed 23rd with a time of 26:54.87. Andrew Frohm of Jackson College finished 29th, while Brian Frazee of Kellogg was 32nd. Grand Rapids' Jack Kehoe finished 34th and Brad Baxter of Oakland was 42nd.
This was the final regular season meet. All MCCAA teams will compete on October 31 at the MCCAA/NJCAA Regon XII Championship at Grand Woods Park in Lansing, MI. The best teams at that meet will move on to the NJCAA Cross Country Championships at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, IA on Saturday, November 14.
