Jackson College's Bateman named 2018-19 MCCAA Athletic Director of the Year

Jackson College Athletic Director Heather Bateman has been named the 2018-19 Michigan Community College Athletic Director of the Year. Bateman was selected from several nominees by the Athletic Director of the Year committee. 

Bateman oversees an athletic department that has 13 successful sports including men's bowling which won the MCCAA Championship in their very first season. The women's soccer team was second in the in the MCCAA and won the NJCAA Region XII regular season and post season title. Bateman also holds several sports chairs in the MCCAA and is the Secretary/Treasurer for NJCAA Region XII. She also hosted the MCCAA Golf and MCCAA Baseball Tournament this spring. 

The MCCAA Athletic Director of the Year is awarded yearly, to the Athletic Director who excels at their job in several criteria, as judge by the MCCAA Athletic Director of the Year committee.
